Here are a few final photos of the marvellous community ensemble! I can’t believe it’s all over: I’m certainly more relaxed now but I miss all the excitement and fun of Messiah. And I really miss the 41 amazing people who took part!

On stage at the Coliseum film

This film charts the rehearsal process on stage at the Coliseum. It’s completely different being in the actual venue where the production will be performed. I think the whole community ensemble sensed that things were moving up a gear!
I had a chance to walk on stage (covering for an ensemble member who was running late) and it was nerve-wracking! I’m definitely not a natural – I much prefer leaving this to the ensemble while I hover in the wings!

Melissa Hardwick, a member of the Community Ensemble took some wonderful photos at Monday’s rehearsal. I don’t think they give away too much about the production!
It’s lovely to see the Community Ensemble mixed in with the wonderful ENO chorus – everyone is getting on very well and Messiah is looking and sounding fantastic.
I can’t wait for opening night on Friday…

As you can read from the recent posts, the Community Ensemble have now started rehearsing on the Coliseum stage. Everything is intensified and with that floor and those props, everything is looking pretty spectacular.
Charlotte van Berckel came along to an early rehearsal and took some beautiful photos of the Ensemble (and some actors, stage managers and dancers) in the wings and onstage…
